Job Description

Job Summary:  

The Maintenance Groundskeeper is responsible for the upkeep and appearance of the boatyard, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment. This role includes landscaping, general maintenance, and supporting the facilities team with various tasks to maintain the overall condition of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain grounds, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and debris removal.
• Perform general upkeep of walkways, parking areas, and common spaces.
• Ensure proper disposal of yard waste and other materials.
• Assist in basic maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
• Conduct routine inspections of the property and report any safety concerns.
• Support the maintenance team with special projects as needed.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment safely.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Responsible for cleanliness maintenance in the facility, including cleaning bathrooms, cleaning exterior windows, emptying trash, and ensuring overall facility cleanliness. 

Qualifications:

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience : 1+ years of groundskeeping, landscaping, or general maintenance experience.

Skills :

• Ability to operate landscaping and maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed in a marine and industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying weather conditions.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Requires the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
• Occasional overtime and weekend work may be necessary.
