ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a passionate Visual Merchandising Manager - North America to join our global team and become our first-ever VM hire in the region. This is a unique opportunity to support and contribute to how Gisou shows up in-store across North America - starting with our key retail partner, Sephora.

In this role, you will be responsible for bringing the Gisou brand to life in-store through compelling, high-impact visual merchandising strategies. From adapting Global artworks, creating regional fixture and VM activation renders; to collaborating with cross functional teams, and overseeing flawless retail execution. You'll be our go-to-expert for all things Visual Merchandising across the regions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Visual Merchandising Execution (North America): Contribute to the vision, with a focus on executing Gisou’s visual merchandising strategy for North American retailers, with a strong focus on Sephora (US). Adapting global artwork and renders into region-specific, high-impact in-store executions, and local activations.
  • Retail Partner Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, especially Sephora’s visual merchandising and field teams, to ensure seamless and premium brand representation across all doors.
  • Vendor & Production Management: Work with a manage regional vendors for display production. Oversee timelines, quality control and budget negotiations to deliver regionally appropriate merchandising solutions.
  • Project Management & Cross-Functional Coordination: Support end-to-end project timelines for all VM initiatives in North America. Coordinate with internal teams including Creative and Marketing to meet deadlines and deliver flawless execution.
  • Seasonal & Launch Execution: Drive the planning and rollout of seasonal campaigns, new product launches, and promotional updates in-store, ensuring alignment with global directives and retailer specifications.
  • Retail Training & Visual Compliance: Train store teams on Gisou’s visual standards. Monitor compliance through regular check-ins and ensure a consistent, elevated brand experience across all retail locations.
  • Budget Management & Efficiency: Working to the visual merchandising budget for North America. Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiencies and processes as the brand continues to scale in the region.
  • Store Visits & Audits: Conduct regular store visits and audits in key markets to assess visual execution. Identify and resolve issues, provide feedback, and implement continuous improvement measures.
  • Event & Pop-Up Support: Collaborate on the visual setup and execution of retail events, activations, and pop-ups across the region, ensuring all brand experiences are impactful and cohesive.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and analyze the impact of visual merchandising strategies, including sell-through performance, CPA, and consumer engagement, and provide strategic insights to optimize future execution.

WHO YOU ARE:

A visual storyteller with a strong eye for detail and design, and a deep understanding of the North American retail beauty landscape.

A proactive, self-starting leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves building from the ground up.

Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines, with a solution-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 -5 years’ experience in Visual Merchandising within the beauty industry. We are looking for someone who is able to roll up their sleeves, and define our ways of working and establish processes.
  • Someone that has experience as a Graphic Designer.
  • Strong experience working directly with Sephora (US and/or Canada), or Ulta
  • Proficient in creating renders and artworks and visual guidelines using industry-standard tools (e.g. 3D Software - Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rino, CAD).
  • Proven experience supporting with the development of VM brand guidelines, including reworking and optimizing existing assets for new markets.
  • Experience with CPA (Cost per Acquisition) analysis in relation to VM performance and retail effectiveness is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple retail programs and timelines.
  • A natural collaborator who enjoys working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and global VM teams.
