Description We are searching for a skilled and dedicated Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in the non-profit sector. Responsibilities: Carrying out investigative interviews with clients, executing factual evaluations, and performing legal studies - Overseeing a large-scale caseload involving fast-tracked eviction defense issues - Participating in community enlightenment and remote outreach initiatives - Defending clients at court proceedings and initiating proactive litigation, which might encompass multi-plaintiff and class lawsuits - When necessary, overseeing and instructing volunteer legal practitioners, legal support staff, interns, and non-legal volunteers - Collaborating closely with team members to deliver exceptional legal aid to patrons - Keeping detailed and precise data on clients and cases for monitoring and reporting purposes - Assisting with organizational growth and fundraising efforts when required - Forming relationships with community collaborators to ease clients' access to social security resources. Requirements - Must possess a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school. - Must be a member in good standing with the relevant State Bar Association. - Proven experience in civil litigation, complex litigation, civil rights litigation, and public interest litigation is required.
