Job Description
A Software Engineer Intern learns the practical application of engineering principals, achieves expertise in a specific functional area, and investigates new techniques as part of a team. The Software Engineer Intern is typically an individual who desires to grow their skills and competencies by working on a product/subsystem release. The Software Engineer Intern learns through practical functional experience and from more experienced engineers/mentors.
Primary Responsibilities - Responsible for planning, processing and performing all projects in an efficient manner with assistance from the supervisor.
- Develop code to achieve defined design goals.
- Write test appliances to fully test production code.
- Apply engineering processes to everyday activities.
- Participate in design and code reviews to gain knowledge of applications and development processes.
- Exposure to the business planning process and terminology.
- Comply with Solarity’s policies, procedures and guidelines.
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree that aligns with Software Engineering.
- Hands-on knowledge of and experience with enterprise and desktop applications, including all Microsoft products.
- Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
- Basic knowledge of software design patterns and architecture.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
- Ability to learn and apply new ideas and concepts quickly.
- Ability to organize time and projects efficiently.
