Zantech is looking for a talented Top Secret Cleared  Senior Database Administrator for an upcoming project to provide all activities related to administration of computerized databases. The Senior Database Administrator will plan long-range requirements for database administration and design, design, create, and maintain databases in client/server environments, and conduct quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate data use.

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

• Applies knowledge of database technologies, development methodologies, and programming languages.
• Design, implement, and maintain complex databases with JCL, access methods, and security protocols
• Perform database programming and support systems design
• Administer, operate, maintain, and secure large-scale computer databases
• Conduct database quality control, auditing, and validation checks
• Maintain database dictionaries and monitor standards and procedures
• Support FPDW and FLIS database integration and data management
• Coordinate database access and security for multiple user environments

Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:

• 5+ years progressive database experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access
• 3+ years hands-on RDBMS experience
• Experience in at least 2 large-scale database projects

Required Certifications/Education:

• DoD 8570 Certification (Enhanced due to IT-I level) such as:
  • Security+ CE (minimum)
  • CISSP (preferred for IT-I)
  • GSEC
• Database Vendor Certifications (MANDATORY) such as:
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Database Administrator
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
  • Oracle Certified Master (OCM) - highest level
  • Microsoft SQL Server MCSA/MCSE (legacy but still recognized)
• Computing Environment Certifications such as:
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC)

Required Security Clearance:

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance, with SCI eligibility, per contract requirements.
