Job Description

SJI Northern Virginia Community Engagement Officer Saint Jerome Institute operates an internationally-recognized high school in the Catholic Liberal Arts tradition in Washington, DC. We seek an entrepreneurial Catholic leader to help expand our educational vision to a second location in northern Virginia. Role of the Community Engagement Officer The Community Engagement Officer (CO) at St. Jerome Institute (SJI) will build, manage, and further meaningful relationships with prospective parents and partners through meaningful interactions, primarily in-person and individually. Responsibilities of the Community Engagement Officer Reporting to the President, the CO will identify and visit families who would like to be meaningfully involved in the mission and vision of SJI; cultivate meaningful relationships between those families and SJI for the purpose of building a solid pipeline of enrollment and support for our mission. Creating and implementing a meaningful engagement plan for each assigned donor, and collaborating with the SJI School President, leadership, and volunteers in these efforts. Tracking all interactions in database/relationship management software. Providing a regular summary to the President of meaningful interactions, including past and upcoming interactions. Requirements & Qualifications: Active Catholic with a commitment to SJI's mission and passion for liberal education Passion for people and interacting individually with them Strong ability to converse with others of various ages, backgrounds and viewpoints Virtue of humility and the ability to be coached Ability to regularly set and conduct donor visits in a methodical and disciplined manner Excellent listening, public speaking, and verbal persuasion skills Energetic self-starter with positive, optimistic attitude, and a strong sense of initiative Collaboration, planning and implementation skills Please submit your application, resume, and cover letter here
