Position Purpose: To support the research activities of Project BRAVE (Building Resilience among Adolescents using Virtual Environments). The Research Assistant (RA) will support all aspects of the project, including assisting with the setup of the study protocols in REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) and Qualtrics, collecting and managing study data (physiological, virtual reality, and interview) for processing and analysis. The RA will also facilitate participant recruitment and the supervision of undergraduate research volunteers. Essential Functions: Function as the lead on study visits with research participants, including obtaining informed consent/assent, setting up and collecting physiological and virtual reality data, and administering research interviews. Maintaining and analyzing physiological data generated from the research visits. Assisting with the coding of interview data obtained from the research visits. Assisting with the coding of interview data obtained from the research visits. Assist with the creation, dissemination, and management of REDCap survey data. Oversee training and fidelity assessments of student volunteers for data collection visits. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree Discipline: Psychology, Neuroscience, or related field. Experience: Entry level (less than a year of job-related experience). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Research experience with REDCap, physiological data collection, and virtual reality platforms in a research context. Experience managing data in Excel and SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). Knowledge and experience with descriptive and correlational data analyses. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with others in a collaborative environment. Respect for diverse perspectives.
