Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Receiving Clerk/Reach Truck Operator to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and accurate receiving of inbound shipments. The ideal candidate will have prior receiving experience, be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating a reach truck. This position requires strong coordination skills to support the unloading process and work alongside General Laborers in sorting and systemic receiving tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments and trailer deliveries
- Assist with checking in trailers and ensuring proper documentation
- Perform systemic receipts using warehouse software or inventory systems
- Coordinate with General Laborers for efficient unloading and sorting of goods
- Maintain accurate records of received items and report discrepancies
- Operate a reach truck to move materials and organize stock in appropriate storage areas
- Follow safety procedures and company protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members, leads, and supervisors
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of warehouse receiving experience required
- Experience operating a reach truck (Reach Truck Certification preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must be reliable and punctual
Work Environment:
- Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures
- Requires standing, lifting, and moving for extended periods
- Use of warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
