Public Relations and Office Coordinator
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Public Relations and Office Coordinator is responsible for organizing as well as coordinating office administration and procedure to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Works with education and civic institutions to promote constructive working partnerships in the community. Plans and implements marketing, ticketing, and fund development strategies. SPECIFIC TASKS: The Public Relations and Office Coordinator :
- Works with the Operation and Education Director and Fund Development Director to develop and implement marketing and ticketing strategies.
- Works with the Operation and Education Director to organize and produce the annual Youth
Concerts. Including correspondence with SAISD and participating Region 15 schools.
- Works with the Operation and Education Director to schedule educational programs presentations.
- Assists the staff to prepare and produce all seasonal, standalone, and special concerts.
- Arranges travel, schedule speaking engagements and media interviews for the Music Director and guest artists.
- Works with the Operation and Education Director and the Fund Development Director to prepare and send San Angelo Symphony newsletter blasts regarding artistic programming, educational programming, and fund development activities. Oversees the organization's social media sites.
Maintains the San Angelo Symphony's website.
- In coordination with the Operation and Development Director and the Fund Development
Director, prepares press releases and develops direct mail pieces for various San AngeloSymphony concerts and fund development events.
- Works with the Operation and Education Director, Fund Development Director, Finance
Associate and Grant Writer to supply information for grants and follow-up reports for grants.
- Works with the Finance Associate to organize, update and maintain membership drive subscriptions and reports, to oversee mass mailings, to field phone calls, to maintain multiple mailing lists, to take reservations for events, to send and receive correspondence, to sell memberships and tickets as well as redeem tickets and ensure the office is open during the lunch hour.
- With the support of the Finance Associate, assists the staff by inputting data into QuickBooks and running basic reports, picking up and dropping off mail, filing, faxing, word processing, updating calendars, making meeting arrangements, taking special event reservations/ticketing orders, preparing reports, ordering supplies, maintaining office equipment, training, and supervising volunteers.

Position Requirements/Recommendations
- Bachelor's degree is recommended
- Proven experience in public relations or a similar role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in writing press releases, articles, and other communication materials
- Knowledge of social media management tools and strategies
- Ability to edit and proofread content for accuracy and clarity
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to multi-task
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $39,000.00 per year
