What To Expect
This role will support the Legal Operations team and all of Tesla Legal by monitoring budgets, providing analysis, forecasting, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and reporting to leadership. Additionally, this role will fulfill daily operational functions, including managing/assigning incoming emails, process improvement, system training, and other assigned projects. What You'll Do Providing strategic insights and conclusions based on financial analysis of legal budgetsUtilizing proven project management techniques to support the efficient management of costs of the legal team, including budgeting and monitoringDeveloping and leading training and implementation of legal systemsTracking projects with budget vs actual spend that accounts for nuance and context beyond financial dataIdentifying opportunities to improve the creation of budgets and use of budget tracking for mattersOther administrative projects/tasks as assigned by direct manager and/or leadership
What You'll Bring Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferably in a business-related field, with 2+ years of financial analysis, project coordinating, and/or project management experience in the professional services field (legal industry experience is a plus)Financial acumen - understanding of financial concepts/project finance, financial modeling experience, and ability to maintain complex spreadsheets (use of formulas, sophisticated data presentation, pivot tables, dashboards, etc)Analytical skills - ability to interpret data effectively and present findings using data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI)Problem-solving skills - a proactive self-starter, with a drive to grow and enhance the function, develop and lead training and implementation of project management systems
