System One has partnered with a Tulsa organization to assist them in their search for a Payroll Coordinator. The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for processing payroll for all employees, maintaining payroll records, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and supporting the HR and Finance departments with payroll-related reporting and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, and tax information
Review and verify timekeeping data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Ensure payroll is processed in accordance with company policies and federal/state labor laws
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to internal stakeholders
Assist with year-end payroll tasks, including W-2 distribution and audit preparation
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and resolve issues in a timely manner
Support the finance team with payroll journal entries and reconciliations
Qualifications:
2+ years of payroll experience required
Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Paychex, Oracle)
Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations (FLSA, tax withholding, etc.)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, or related field preferred
