Position Overview

Serves as Payroll Assistant to the Finance Department and will be responsible for multiple duties within the department, as assigned.

Duties

• Assist Payroll with processing of semi-monthly payroll changes, time card reviews, general ledger distributions, and reporting reconciliations.
• Assist Payroll with reporting for federal, state, and local tax quarterly and annual reporting.
• Assist Payroll with unemployment and workers compensation quarterly and annual reporting.
• Assist in all aspects with month-end closing and financial statement production.
• Assist with research and data gathering for various regulatory reports including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, UDS, etc.
• Work closely with Controller and/or Director Finance on department projects.
• Work with all other Controller and/or Finance Department personnel to assure a balance flow of duties throughout the department.
• Assist with creating monthly income statements and general ledger reports.
• Assist within the billing department, as requested.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Location and Hours of Position

NO WEEKENDS

PHN Finance Department

Primary Health Network: 63 Pitt St, Sharon PA.

Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm 

Qualifications

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (preferred)

1 to 3 years’ experience within health care business office setting preferred

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills

Must possess excellent computer skills

Qualifications 

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing (LPN or RN)
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical health care experience. 

Experience Requirements

• Current unrestricted Pennsylvania Nurse license

•Ability to analyze data objectively and present organized reports.

•Commitment to developing the culture of safety within the organization.

•Willingness to participate in professional development opportunities to benefit the implementation of the Quality and Risk Management programs.

•Effective communication and collaboration skills.

•Proficient computer skills.

•Ability to maintain flexibility in the workplace.
