What we're looking for:

Gesture is seeking a motivated Operations and Integration Engineer Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working alongside experienced professionals. You will play a crucial role in supporting our operational processes and integrating multiple systems to enhance our service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in integrating and maintaining operational systems to ensure operations can handle logistics and order activities
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues related to operations infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and system efficiency enhancements.
• Help develop and maintain documentation for operational procedures and system configurations.
• Participate in the deployment and integration of new technologies and systems.
• Conduct basic system audits and assist in generating performance reports.
• Support disaster recovery planning and execution under supervision.
• Build and maintain dashboards to visualize operational data and metrics.
• Integrate communication platforms like WhatsApp into CRM systems using tools like Twilio to ensure seamless communication with our delivery fleet.
• Utilize our 'smart send' technology to streamline the integration of tangible item deliveries across various platforms.

Requirements:

• Currently a college senior or enrolled in a master's program in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of system operations and infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
• Interest in learning about monitoring tools and platforms (e.g., Nagios, Grafana).
• Eagerness to learn about cloud services and virtualization technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest in DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
• Basic knowledge of network protocols and security best practices.
• Enthusiasm for pursuing certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies.
