ManTech is seeking an experienced Operations Support Specialist to provide direct administrative and operational support to senior leadership within the Marine Corps.

General Responsibilities:

  • Engage senior military and civilian leadership to understand schedule requirements and related operational activitivies and provide project/administrative management support.
  • Develop, coordinate, manage, deconflict, and maintain senior leadership schedules, itineraries, and corresponding logistics related to local, national, and international travel, meetings, events, engagements, and other activities as requested.
  • Utilize enterprise business tools and platforms to capture, visualize, notify, and deconflict schedules, milestones, meetings, and events.
  • Capture, document, and maintain points of contact register for key stakeholders organizations and individuals
  • Process security and access control requirements to ensure government staff can execute in their capacity locally and external to the command with other DoD, governmental, academia, and industry organizations.
  • Stay current with Defense Travel regulations and assist Civilian and Military with their travel logistics.
  • Document and maintain administrative policies, and standard operating and desktop procedures.
  • Assist with ensuring awareness and compliance with administrative regulations and directives.
  • Interface with other administrative personnel on staff and in subordinate, adjacent, or senior commands to ensure compliance with policies related to this role.
  • Provide recommendations for correcting or improving administrative operations, planning, and decision making.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Active DoD Top Secret w/ SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree (+5 years' professional administrative experience), Associate's Degree (+7 years' professional administrative experience), or High School Diploma (+12 years' professional administrative experience).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as facilitation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact competently and clearly with, support, and brief senior Military and Civilian leadership.
  • Experience coordinating and scheduling complex schedules with a focus on proper time management, efficiency, feasiblity and ability to meet leadership intent towards mission accomplishment.
  • Ability to lead complex event planning and organization activities.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) to be able to effectively review and edit division correspondence for changes in spelling, grammar, punctuation, word usage and correct format style for the intended audience in accordance with USMC policy and procedures; calendar management, and task management.
  • Demonstrated excellence in similar activities, roles, and levels in the recent past.
  • Familiar with travel coordination and processes for Department of Defense personnel.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Navy/Marine Corps processes, organizational structure, and enterprise systems that support business functions and operations.
  • Previous direct administrative support to senior leadership (SES/ GO) within DoD organizations.
  • Expertise using DTS.
  • Expert knowledge of Defense Travel regulations.
