Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meat Wrapper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and packaging meat products for sale, ensuring that all items meet our high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food handling and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area.

Duties

• Prepare, wrap, and label various meat products according to established guidelines.
• Ensure all meat products are properly sanitized and stored to maintain food safety standards.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the meat department, including regular sanitation of work surfaces and equipment.
• Help customers with inquiries regarding meat products, providing excellent customer service in a retail environment.
• Utilize basic math skills for weighing and pricing meat items accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the café or kitchen setting.
• Follow all food handling regulations and best practices to ensure product safety and quality.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a culinary or kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper sanitation methods is essential.
• Basic math skills are necessary for accurate pricing and inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Excellent communication skills to assist customers effectively in a retail setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
