Job Summary

Material Delivery Driver is responsible for picking up and delivering materials to crews throughout the metro area. They will work directly with the Operations manager to complete their assignments. Depending on the time delivery assignments are completed, the Material Delivery Driver may have to assist the landscape crew with their assigned tasks. Location of the job may vary day to day depending on which work orders you are assigned to. A company truck will be provided for travel throughout the metro area while completing customer’s orders. Hours may fluctuate based on the weather and needs.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Material Delivery Driver must perform the following duties through the spring, summer, and fall months:

· Pick up/deliver materials and equipment to job sites as needed

· Ensure the correct materials are picked up (quantity and quality)

· Safely maneuver truck on job site to discharge materials

· Assist with assignments on job sites when delivery is slow. Activities include but are not limited to: hands on work, operating a variety of machinery, etc.

· Manage personnel effectively and efficiently

· Communicate effectively with customers, crews, and office personnel

· Ensure the proper care and safety operations of equipment

· Drive work trucks to different work sites throughout the metro area

· Plow snow during the winter months

Qualifications

· Valid Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record- no DUI/DWI within last 5 years
· Must have at least 3-5 years of landscaping experience (hardscape/softscape)

· Ability to possess DOT medical card

· Pass a Criminal Background check

· Reliable transportation to get to and from work

· Able to walk up to 5 miles per day

· Can lift 50 lbs. in and out of trucks 50 times per day

· Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues effectively and efficiently

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Okay working outdoors in various weather conditions including rain, snow, sun/heat and cold

Schedule

The normal schedule is 6:30am-4:30pm (10-hour days) Mondays-Thursdays during the lawn care season. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are optional but will be mandatory during our busy season. Overtime is available depending on the demand.

During winter months, we provide snow removal to our customers. We plow both commercial and residential properties. Hours in the winter months are based on when it snows.
