Job Title : Human Resources Intern
Reports to : Sr. Human Resources Generalist

Work Schedule: Flexible Part-Time hours available between Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM.
Summary :
Professional detail-oriented Human Resources Intern provides valuable experience in various aspects of human resource management, such as compliance, payroll, recruitment, administrative support and some accounting functions.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- File and maintain personnel files to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Assist with employment reference checks.
- Prepare documents for new hires and support onboarding processes for new hires.
- Audit training records for training compliance.
- Review Time & Attendance for payroll accuracy, including processing vacation and PSL forms.
- Review and provide weekly timesheets for temporary employees to employment agencies.
- Help organize and execute HR events such as training or recognition events.
- Assist with HR compliance and documentation, including policies, procedures, and audits.
- Contribute to creating process guidelines for HR compliance.
- Analyze HR metrics to review time to hire, retention rates and turnover.
- Assist with light accounting duties. (ie. printing invoices, coding supplier invoices, filing customer invoices, etc.)
- Perform other related duties as assigned consistent with company and personal growth.
Skills:
- Local candidates currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program with an emphasis in human resources.
- Prefer candidates in final 1-2 semesters.
- Strong interpersonal and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
