Job Description Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at our nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center. This unique weekend-only opportunity is ideal for experienced RNs who thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and are passionate about making a meaningful impact when patients need it most.*Shift Weekend Work Day Shift- every Saturday and Sunday. Position Highlights:Weekend Work Option: Work two 12-hour shifts every Saturday and Sunday, and get paid for three.Level I Trauma Center: Be part of a dynamic team handling the most complex and critical emergencies in the region.Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, trauma surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to provide lifesaving care to a diverse patient population.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to patients in emergency and trauma situations.Rapidly assess and prioritize patient conditions in a high-acuity environment.Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.Act as a patient advocate and communicate effectively with patients and families.Demonstrate clinical competence in emergency procedures and advanced interventions.Accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
