Hours: 20 - 40 hours per week (days of the week and time of day vary depending on season and event schedule)

POSITION SUMMARY

Wine Wise is seeking a talented, creative, motivated, and organized Social Media & Content Manager to lead our digital storytelling across social platforms, email, blog, and advertising channels.

This role will manage and create high-quality content that captures the heart of the Wine Wise experience—celebrating great wine, delicious food, and the people who make our community so special. The right candidate thrives on bringing stories to life through engaging video, photography, and copy that drive excitement, participation, and engagement.

  • Manage Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, including daily stories, 3+ reels/posts per week, and engagement strategies to grow and maintain audience interaction.
  • Monitor platform trends, algorithm changes, and performance metrics to optimize content strategy.
  • Capture and edit photos and videos at Wine Sails, Wine & Food Walks, Wine Club events, and other activities.
  • Produce content for some aligned email campaigns, including graphics, GIFs, and copy.
  • Draft, design, and publish blog content, including visuals, photography, and copy.
  • Create marketing assets for digital ads, web pages, newsletters, and other promotional campaigns.
  • Update and maintain Wine Wise website content to ensure accuracy, seasonal refreshes, and brand consistency.
  • Plan and execute campaigns and seasonal initiatives, contributing to content calendars and overall marketing strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal team members, chefs, partners, and other collaborators on content creation and campaigns.
  • Brainstorm and pitch creative ideas to expand and grow our social media audience, increase engagement, and enhance brand awareness.
  • Coordinate and schedule professional and efficient photoshoots and video shoots.

Wine knowledge is not necessary.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred but not required. Industry experience or familiarity is a strong plus. We are open to an entry-level candidate.
  • Experience: 0-2 years.
  • Reports to: Erica Archer, Owner of Wine Wise
  • Location: A hybrid position that requires the team member to have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and live within a short drive of Portland, Maine.
  • This is a permanent position with room for long-term growth. We’re seeking team members interested in a long-term role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
