Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)  is adding an  Anesthesiologist to the group at  NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy. 

The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with  SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine  to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details:

  • Practice within an expanded Anesthesia Care Model, taking a leadership role throughout the perioperative process.
  • Collaborate closely and positively with surgeons, nursing staff, and the broader perioperative team.
  • Utilize a full range of modern anesthesia technology, including:
    • Video laryngoscopy
    • Two SonoSite ultrasound machines for vascular access and regional anesthesia
    • Two Ambu FOB systems with disposable scopes for thoracic anesthesia and difficult airway management
    • FloTrac system for intraoperative hemodynamic monitoring
    • AccuView vein-finding system

Qualifications

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology.
  • Skill in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia is a plus.
  • New graduates are welcome!
  • An active NYS License is required.
  • DEA Certificate.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $421,000* (board eligible); $431,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $600,000** (board eligible) and $610,000** (board certified) , which includes the baseline salary, fringe benefits, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
  • Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
    • Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
  • Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
  • Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.
  • Visa sponsorship will be considered for this position.
